Split your essay up into manageable parts e.g.

Philosophers sometimes do say outrageous things, but if the view you're attributing to a philosopher seems to be then you should think hard about whether he really does say what you think he says.
(In this respect, philosophy is more like a science than the other humanities.) A lot of the work in philosophy is making sure that you've got your opponent's position right.You can assume that is stupid (see above).

The persuasive component of advertising is also a fruitful subject ofethical inquiry. He calls this the“dependence effect”: our desires depend on what isproduced, not vice versa. Moreover, since we are inundatedwith advertising for consumer goods, we want too many of those goodsand not enough public goods. Hayek (1961) rejects this claim, arguingthat few if any of our desires are independent of our environment, andthat anyway, desires produced in us through advertising are no lesssignificant than desires produced in us in other ways.
Most advertising contains both an informational component and apersuasive component. Advertisements tell us something about aproduct, and try to persuade us to buy it. Both of these components can besubject to ethical evaluation.
