My mom is one of the most inspiring people in my life and what makes her so special is that she seems to have no idea how motivating she is. She has led our family and guided my siblings and I simply by being herself. She leads by example, showing us her values and making sure we live by our own. She carries out this example by pushing us to do volunteer work and joining in herself. She pushes us to treat everyone we meet with respect and I have never heard of her making a rude comment or put someone down. She teaches us to be proud of who we are and make smart decisions so we will never be ashamed.

Scholarship paper writing tips:
When developing this kind of a scholarship essay, defining leadership is a good way to begin. How the term is defined and the words used in that definition can help to set the tone of the essay. Defining leadership basically entails outlining or explaining the common characteristics that are associated with leadership. It is often a good idea to tackle the definition from different perspectives because doing so will enable one to develop a comprehensive definition of the term, which in this case is leadership. Once the definition is provided, one should examine the characteristics that help to identify the individual as a good leader. Furthermore, offering concrete examples of each characteristic helps to make the essay even stronger.

Share examples on these lines. Avoid examples where you arranged an out of office dinner or picnic and everyone because of it became ideal team players the next day. Get real. If a team member or a group of them are not contributing, the team outing is going to do little. Perspectives will change and realizations will hit when the real reason behind the problems are addressed and this often happens at the work place.

She looks to the goal of making us children independent, successful, and competent in the world and while she challenges me to push my limits and work through struggles, she also hardly ever criticize me. She is there supporting me whether I win or lose, pass or fail. My mother would agree one must focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses.
In my last leadership experience, I led a retreat where the girls in my group were to examine their lives and decide who they want to be inside for the future. My mother’s example helped me give compassion and make these girls comfortable enough to open up and share their experiences. After taking this leadership class I am even more ready to apply a relationship style leadership to other non-emotional-focused leadership positions. I have taken what my mother has taught me since I was a child and implemented it into a unique leadership style that combines many of the theories and makes it my own brand.

Nursing is a practice discipline that includes direct and indirect care activities that affect health outcomes. As a baccalaureate nursing student, you are developing new competencies in leadership, and in order to achieve mastery, you must apply those competencies to live practice experiences and situations. This Leadership Learning Experience (LLE) is designed to allow you to choose a clinical focus (e.g., practice, policy, education, population) in which you apply your leadership problem–solving skills. The experience requires engagement with other people within the setting to complete the LLE.
