I believe a hero is somebody you can look up to in certain aspects of your life and follow their guidelines to live up to their perspectives. I can honestly say my Mother has been my hero my entire life. My mom has helped me through many rough times in my 17 years of life. I truly believe that if it wasn’t for my Mom, I wouldn’t be the respectful and appreciative person I am today. She has truly been there for me my entire life, and I look up to her for that and one day I want my kids to look up to me in that sort of way.
In my opinion a hero is someone you can look up to, and depend on throughout your life and follow their footsteps. I would have to say my sister has been my hero throughout my life. If it wasn’t for my sister I wouldn’t be who I am today. My sister has always been there for me when I needed her the most.
Picture this, a personal helper who guides you to the right path. That’s what I have! That wonderful personal guide that I am describing is my Dad. He is very supportive in everything that I do. Without him, it would be really hard to do anything. My Dad, my hero, is the light in my life because he helps me with my homework, plays with me, and is a very caring and patient person. He’s been helping me since I was born! My Dad does many good things for my benefit. What would happen if I didn’t have him? I wonder what my life would be like.
Another way that my dad is helpful is when he takes me outside to play. My mom is always busy cooking, cleaning or reviewing my homework and assignments and does not have the time to play. So my Dad sacrifices his time to play or watch football and other sports with me. Sometimes it seems like he gets more enjoyment from the playing than I do.
When I was 8 years old, I went through something most 8 year olds don’t go through. My father passed away on January 18th, 2001 and it was a very difficult time in my life. The only person I had to look up to at that time in my life was my mom. She has raised me by herself and has always put me before her needs. She has been a mother and a father to me my entire life, and that’s what truly makes me look up to her in many of ways. I can go to my mom for anything that I need, or that I’m struggling with. She has made sure I have had the best of things and works very hard for the things I need. She is not only my mom; she is also my best friend. She tells me daily that there’s nothing in the world that is ever to big that we can’t get through together.
Although that my moms expectations are set high for me, I hope one day I can fulfill all of them and to make her happy that she has done the best she can to raise me. For everything we have been through together, my mom is the best of the best and nobody can compare to what she has done for me. I hope one day when I have kids I can be a great parent to them as my mom has been to me.
My sister is my best friend, we talk about everything. She knows all my little secrets that I would never think about telling my mom, and I know that when I tell her that it is safe with her because that’s the kind of friendship we have. If I didn’t have my sister in my life right now, I honestly don’t know what I’d do, I’d be lost without her. We are so close that we can finish each others sentences.
Recently my parents split up because my father is an Alcoholic. I took the split up very bad, and it made me very stressed out, and I didn’t want to do anything. My sister was there for me when I needed her to talk to about what I had on my mind. I called my sister everyday to tell her how my parents were doing. After the separation my mom and I moved back to park hills and it doesn’t feel right without my dad being there. With my parents splitting up has made me and my sister even stronger than we were before. I am very thankful that I have her in my life.
All together I know my sister is my hero, and she will always be. She is the number one person in my life right now. I am so thankful to have an older sister like her that I can look up too. I know she will always been there for me until the end. I don’t know what I’d do without her. My sister Niki is my hero.
